Work in Progress

I'm taking on a new adventure.......... drum roll please it's called a Diet! I was at my mom's talking about losing some weight and I can remember as kids her always wanting to check our sugar as high sugar runs in our family. I couldn't believe what the number was I was in the pre diabetic stage!! That was a huge wake up call for me, I vowed at that very moment to make some life changes to better my health. I cut out all the sugary foods that I loved so much and all my beloved  Pepsi. I started this last week and have to date lost 2.5 pounds. This is a work in progress and by no means an easy road that i am traveling down, but I will accomplish this! If anyone has any tips to help me on this journey please feel free to leave a comment. I look forward to hearing from you:)

Summer fun!!!

Summer is finally here!!! When you finally hit that 80 degree mark and your kids are begging to go swimming you know it is officially here. Instead of taking my kids to the pool we are trying something different it is the big inflatable water slide!! We have had it up for a few days now and the kids absolutely love it the only problem it seems is your lawn turns into a big mud pit lol. My husband loves his grass so we tried moving it to a different spot in the yard needless to say we now have two mud pits in the back yard lol. So today we took a break from the slide to give the yard a break, if you have any suggestions for outside water activities with less the mess let me know:)

Thanks Rachael

Moving and so much more!

Whew! What a stressful couple of weeks, I will start by saying first we finally got settled into our new home!!! Yay! Now its time to put those homey touches on my first home. I was thinking of doing wall art in the dining room something modern but contemporary all wrapped in one. I'm excited about decorating my new home we will have to wait and see:) Secondly I took my daughter to an allergy specialist lets just say this didn't go to well! They did an allergy test on her the nurse came in and stuck this board on her back it had all kinds of different syrup on it to test for different things. She told Rileigh there were no needles so she puts it on Rileighs back and out pop these needles!!! Rileigh screamed so loud I think the whole doctors office heard her. It gave us all a start since we weren't expecting it. The results came back she is allergic to trees, cats, nuts, grass, soy and berries! To say the least it is hard to remind myself that I have to start checking labels to make sure she doesn't eat any of these things, otherwise it could make her eczema flare up. We go back to the Doctors in a week for a check up hopefully no surprises this time!!

A home of our own!

So my husband and I have made our first big purchase:) Can you guess what it is? A House!!! We were so stoked when the Realtor called and told us it was ours, nothing is greater in that moment then knowing that you never have to pack and move again. It is such a blessing to be able to buy your own home during such a hard economy. I am so proud of my husband he works hard to provide everything we have, I love him very much. Our kids are really excited to be able to move and know that it is the last time.(the bad part about renting is when the house you live in sells this happened twice to us lol). So it looks like besides Baseball and everything else that goes on during the summer we are going to be moving. YAY!! I will def. be posting pics as we move of the new house:)

Baseball Season has begun!!

As every parent knows summer is one step closer when baseball season starts. My son had his first practice last night. He was so excited but I don't think nearly as excited as his dad and I were. Just seeing him on the field made us think about how fast they grow up. He is trying out for pitcher this year, this makes me a little nervous for him, knowing there is a chance he could hit someone or be hit himself yikes!! My husband Paul always tells me I need to relax lol imagine that. So it looks like our summer is going to be filled with concession stand food, a lot of dirt and screaming fans:) It doesn't get better than that!

Rain, rain go away!!

It must be something to do with the rain that makes kids so grouchy. Nobody wants to get up in the morning, then when they do they fight till it's time for school. At least this is how my morning started. The kids eat breakfast and its an instant fight.... " your in my seat," "that's my cereal," then in the car on the way to school "she's touching me," Mom make her stop." For that one split instance you wish you could change your name to anything but Mom. Then you get some quiet time to your self to just relax and breath a little. At the end of the day the screaming stops and the kids tell you how much they love you. Being called Mom is a privilege even through the chaos that you have. Being a Mom is so great I wouldn't change any of it for anything.
